OK,

:| I have to say I do not agree with the opinion of SEDo on this. But I am willing to hear it from the NPS members I trust.

:-/ Should this name be considered as "adult". And subject to the restrictions and association to adult content? Sedo has placed it in the "adult content" category and restricted my advertisers to "adult" content providers. I don't want it to be adult content.

:guilty: The original idea was for "International Woman". A professional Woman's online service or social networking site. The key words I selected were "international woman". This was changed to "women" . I changed it back to international woman and the content still comes up "adult"

The name is: iWoman.mobi

Please advise ....

Well honestly I don't see why that would be adult. I could see it go either way if someone wanted. But I am honestly shocked they placed it in adult category. In my opinon no its not adult could it be used as adult yes.

Sedo's done that to me on a couple of domains that aren't really adult. Email them about it and state your case, and maybe they'll change it back.

Several different parking companies have done this to me in the past :( I own a few domains related to a certain region of the body (Technical Terms only) - They keep blocking them as "Health" related ..... and adding them as "Adult" related .... :|

You think that's strange -- I just found out that "MyRate.mobi" was classified as adult, for some reason.

But here's what Sedo says about this on their site -- seems like it shouldn't be too hard to get it changed...

A few weeks ago we posted about a new classification of adult domains, mandated by our advertising partner, which was intended to prevent non-adult advertising from appearing on adult domains, and vice-versa. In case you missed that important announcement, you can read the details here.

Today we added a few new features designed to help you better keep track of which domains have been classified as adult, and which not. There are 3 ways to identify adult classified domains (all in the optimizer):

1. Adult domains are identified by a red * in the Optimizer.
2. Use the new "Adult Classified Domains" Quick View.
3. Use the "sort by" dropdown menu and select "Adult Classified"

What if your non-adult domain has been classified as adult?
Simply send an e-mail to [email protected] and we will ask our advertising partner that the domain be re-classified.

I own Womenz.org and it has never been "blocked" or been considered "adult."

It's like sedo is saying that women don't have a place on the internet except in porn. I wonder which category they would place iMan.mobi?

:!: This is rediculous and embarrassing!!!!!!!
I have tried several key words and all of them yield porn ads. Are you telling me these are adult content keywords that yield porn ads?

Business Woman
International Woman
International Business woman
Professional Business woman

These are just samples of the keywords I've tried and all of them pop up porn ads. :|

Further more these names were also flagged.

clickmy.biz was flagged as adult yesterday and today they added clickmy.us yet clickmy.org, was not flagged. Blogslave was flagged as adult ????? And finally iteen.mobi is also flagged. :|

I have a problem with this. In that the following words are considered adult content. This appears to me that SEDO is not using advertiser but rather net traffic to determined categorization. They need to stop for they are pushing us into the porn industry with out justification. These are not porn names.

TEEN
WOMAN
CLICK
MY
BLOG
SLAVE

Please can somebody explain to me the relationship to porn that any of these names/words have? I am "PO" now. :!:

They added clickmy.org to the list after I sent a pleasant email explaining the problem and asking them to remove the rating. So much for cooperation.

SEDO..... get your minds out of the gutter. You are embarrassing your members!!!!!!!!

This is a problem for sure. Did the email ever come back? If those words point to porn, we are all in trouble.

"However, we have been submitting lists of incorrectly classified domains to them for reclassification as soon as possible" :bah:

I did recieve this reply from SEDO regarding this matter. And no change in advertisers/providers content. This is sad. I can appreciate one's rights to view the type of material laws allow. But to impose the content on obviously the most exploited groups (Women and children) is just disgusting. And "iJOKE.mobi" ......? How can this be adult content? Considering my key words are targeted to business Women, teens and jokes. Is SEDO's "provider" knowingly exposing a demographic to porn on it's own volition but under my name? Shouldn't I be able to demand this content be removed!?

One more note would be that this clearly violates SEDO's Providers own new policy. The policy was meant to segregate names from unrelated content. So why would they add porn links to a domain name such as the word "iteen" or "iwoman" ? They are peddling porn to kids and in my name. >:(

Hi XXXXXX,

Thanks so much for getting in touch with us. Recently, our ad provider has taken the initiative to classify domains as adult and non-adult. This affects Sedoโ€™s parking program and we have limited control over the classification process. However, we have been submitting lists of incorrectly classified domains to them for reclassification as soon as possible. Your domain has been added to this list and will be submitted for resolution.

As this process is out of our direct control, it is impossible to determine a timeframe in which the domain will be reclassified. We ask for your patience as we work to resolve these issues quickly. I hope that helps to clarify and I hope you have a great day!

Best regards,

XXXXX XXXXX

This email reply basically puts the blame and responsability on some "provider" of content. Does any one know who this "PROVIDER" is? I would like to talk with them.

I think it is time to pull all my names from SEDO. I would suggest all members parking at SEDO check for porn on your sites. This is a list of my names SEDO flags for adult content. You could be peddling porn for SEDO too.

blogslave.com
iteen.mobi
iwoman.mobi
ijoke.mobi
clickmy.org
clickmy.biz
clickmy.us

Now I do admit I have about 6 names that should be and are keyworded for adult content. Those names are clearly targeting adults. I am not t saint on a rant about porn. But his is absolutely unacceptable marketing tactics by SEDO and or it's "PROVIDER".

Am I wrong about this? Should I just relax and wait? Am I over reacting? Is the reply by SEDO acceptable to you?

Well, If I were searching for Porn or Sexually explict items I certainly wouln't type Iwoman.mobi thats for sure. So if they classify it as adult people looking for Normal content will be shocked by Sexual content. Obviously that could either decrease because its something they dont want or increase profits as it increases there attention there. But I agree with the fact iman.mobi. I think if you simply send them a email with many of NP's post you can get it fixed because they are wrong about the domain.

Don't see anything adult about this name. Don't know how they can classify it as being adult!
