Hi Guys,
Recently I have 9 auctions and 1 offer-counter offer sales closed on Sedo, unluckly only 5 of them received Payment and half of them are cancelled because of payment failed.

The rate is much higher than happend before. I talk to other domainers and try to know why...

One reason I heard from some buyers is that Sedo doesn't take payment from Paypal anymore no matter what's is the deal amount. Wire transaction is very Unconvinient option for members in some country where has Forex exchange control (e.g, China where I am from), and the wire transfer service fee is much higher than Paypal especially for sales less than $500.

I don't think Sedo send any offical announcement for the change of payment options. Lots of bidders/buyers don't know this change and only noticed this when they are going to send payemnt, and finally giveup because of difficult to send money.

I want to know is this change of payment options for all Sedo members (from all countries), or just for some special groups? If this change has applied to you, any impact on you Sedo Bidding / Make offer actions?

There's a Credit Card option for sales up to $500 usd.

Not sure if/when they stopped taking Paypal, but I did use Paypal to buy a domain about a month ago (Mid May).

I think it will hurt them if they stop taking CC and Paypal. Anyone here from Sedo who can answer definitively on what they take for payment options?

I just paid for a few domains using PayPal and I am awaiting

payment on a sale. They will not pay you with Paypal for sales over $10,000

Looks Sedo gives different member groups different payment options. For a few domainers I know, wire transfer is the only option now without any notice in advance. This DO hurt certain buyers

Don't know what's Sedo's cretiria for different options. Sorted by members nationalit? Or members buyer activities in the past?.. or something else? Hope someone from Sedo can make clarification here. No need to make things in priviate
