LOL I think trying to comeup with a title is harder than actually having to ask this question :)

Is it a bad practice to have the same letter next to the other in the a domain name?

For example:

Say the site was Rhino Online...would rhinoonline.com be a bad idea?

Thanks in advance!

Thats not too bad, I presume. But you certainly want to avoid names such as therapistfinder (TherapistFinder.com, reads as TheRapistFinder.com). Rhinoonline.com doesn't sound as confusing to read or write.

Here is what I do in these situations. You have to figure that somebody is going to grab a typo of a good name, especially with repeated characters since it is begging for a typo.

When I register something like RhinoOnline, I also grab the most obvious typo which is Rhinonline, which of course doubles my cost. I have done this with several domains that have this problem.

@ sashas, I was actually thinking of Experts Exchange which would be expertsexchange.com ;)

@ npcomplete, that is a good suggestion...

Bottom line is I am having a hard time coming up with a good .com name for my Yamaha Rhino community so I was trying to make the right decision.

Thanks you two!

Hmm. I personally get confused by this. I would buy the one with the o and the oo so either way your safe when a person types it in.

I try to avoid names with the same letters next to each other. It's potential to making a typo.
