Here we go!

The .RS extension stands for Serbia, Europe.

It is mostly being used for domain hacks (answe.rs being the highest sale at $20k from what I remember) but it also means life in chinese.

The lowest registration fee I found is at Plus.rs (no english site but works well with google translate) and it costs 1920 Dinar which is about $17 per registration. But there are other local sites (in English) which cost just above $20.

There are still a lot of available short domains, numbers and letters and from what I understood there is no restriction whatsoever for registering or transferring a domain (no wait time to tranfer, can be same day as regged).

Besides two domain hacks transfe(.)rs and tracto(.)rs I just registered a few short domains:

and there no pdf to fill out
the new owner retains all your whois info
can change email only

to change other info, name etc.. he pays $7 per domain + pdf form to sign.

but it is not ncessary to change whois info and he can still keep and sell and push domains later on from his account to new owner, using the old unchanged info

nope... gotta pay $7 and sign form.

plus I just learned they'll really force you to change contact info or else declare you as false owner. and probably confiscate your domains.. so remember when u sell.. to tell in auction that new owner needs to pay $7 to change info to his! I thought this was optional before and you can push around forever as long as its within istanco

but a rep told me today its not so.

true.. no one cares for $7 if you sell for 500 or 1000
but if yuou sell some .rs for cheap on np, reseller prices.. for say $10 each.
then things get way less exciting for you when you have to pay $7 to change to buyer's new info

yes normally you want contact info to be your own. but there isn't really all that much "normal" about having to pay to change conact info

I do not know exactly. Many of them has expired but still not deleted ( renewal grace period is 30 days ) .... we'll see soon...

If they could just remove this signature demand, I think it could sell better and we wouldn't have so many drops.

i think they've been around for a while now

combine time wasting (and costing extra money for contact change) restrictions like these.. along side near $20 reg price... and it is no wonder why people may want to for example look at some other options.. in cctld.. such as .al
