Hi,
I want to resell hosting. I was looking at hostgators reseller plans but I don't understand about domain names. I noticed hostgators domain names are twice what they are at godaddy to register. I want to do what hostgator is doing. I want to resell hosting but I dont think hostgators reseller hosting plans include a way to profit from the registering of domain names. Anyone know how I could offer domain registration on my page at whatever price I want, along with the reseller hosting?

You can become domain reseller.Such as: register account with domainreseller.com
Hosting was offered by hostgator and domain was offered by domain reseller

It is always better to register domains directly from a registrar.
So I would suggest you to register the domains at go-daddy and host at Hostgator.

Separate resellers accounts for domain names and for web hosting as well. As rule web hosting accounts going to be change more often then accounts for domain names ;)

Is a domain reselling similar to reselling? Or are there any differences? Is it more difficult?

You just act as a middle man.
Customer pays you the price you set.
You buy the domain from a company above you for less.
Profit from the difference.

If you are not specific in Hostgator you can make a look at Godaddy .com for web hosting.
I can see that there is not much diffrence in hostng plans between Godaddy and Hostgator.
I think if you have an account from Godaddy you don't have the need of support from different company.
