I found an ad that says it's 0.50 for first year at Register.com
https://www.register.com/promo/domain-to-website-v2.rcmx?trkID=WWWe01tI2W&clickid=wdXQt3VDiXbS1vHV%3A8To82PLUkTRs9xs12NQx00&iradid=58254&irpid=34020&sharedid=domainsUS&source=IR
but after you checkout it becomes 34.99
But would you believe it? register.com says it is not really their website and they charge 34.99 for a single year, WOW who would pay that? They say it is for people seeking “quality” service, lol.
Still, I think register.com is running some kind of bait and switch scam of their own.
Go straight to
www.register.com
right now, and it says $5. to register a .com for the year. $5. is not fifty cents, but it's a good price. Then when you get to your cart...again, it is $38.
This is just for a couple of domains where I want to create another website business (I have many), to see if it flies, hence the desire to pay a dollar. I can get around $8. per year at my DynaDot but I like to keep businesses separate and DD is where I maintain all my domaining domain names, not the many on which I have actual businesses generating income.
