Recent Asian Tsunami/Quake related domains for sale - SOLD

Below are some domain names for sale related to the recent Tsunami triggered by a 9.0 magnigude (4th largest since 1899) quake located off the cost of Sumatra in Indonesia.
If you have been watching the news lately you will know that this is one of the greatest natural disasters in modern history affecting most of South Asia and even East Africa. The press coverage of this event worldwide is comparable to that of september 11.

Domains for sale:
AsiaQuake.com

AsianEarthquake.com

AsianTsunami.com

AsianTidalwave.com

IndonesiaQuake.com

SumatraQuake.com

Current price for all 6 domains = Sold for $78

Added:
This domains were registerred at registerfly and will expire exactly one year from now.
Buyer will assume all transfer costs and payment can be made through paypal.

Reason for Selling
I bought this domains with the intention of developing sites related to this disaster. I wanted to provide photos, eyewitness accounts, and links to charities accepting contributions for this disaster.
After buying the domains I realised that with my current workload I don't have time to develop them and that is why I decided to cut my loses and sell them to someone that might actually use them.

An example of a possible use for this domains is:
http://tsunamihelp.blogspot.com/

If you look a the counter available in the site you will see that it's averaging 10,000+ hits per day and climbing rapidly and it's only been onlline for 3 days!!

Another possible use for this domains are educational sites with historical facts about this disaster.

Iยดm now offering all 6 domains for the same price that I payed for each one which is $9.99 * 6 = $60. If you're interested or can beat that offer PM me.

GT Web,

I actually did that before you posted your message. Some domains are redirecting but it seems Registerfly takes some time to update.

Donate the cash from sale to Aid efforts. If you actually bought the names to put up something to help with the disaster then this will be a great way to make sure that happens. :)

dotcommakers,

No offense taken. I really do understand whrere you're comming from but I am hardly profiting from this. I've had several offers from people interested in purchasing them but for $60 bucks only and just to redirect them to the Red Cross seams like a waste since I am already redirectim them there.
I want to sell them to someone that will actually develop them by putting at least one site with info about the disaster and if they put a banner or two to pay for the hosting and other expenses then I don't see any harm done there.
I'm only considering offers higher than $60 up to $150 and only if you tell me what you intend to do with them (it should be a good purpose). Another acceptable use for this domains is an educational site with historical facts about the earthquake since I can assure you that it will be in all new history books from now on.

100,000+ dead actually and that is before the water-bourne disease will strike so the fact that these were bought for profitting was wrong. If they weren't then apologies, but it looks that way.

Anyway, we should try and keep this forum free of things like this so people can come here for a release from the real world sometimes.

Makes us realise how buying and selling 'virtual' names is ridiculous when there are events like this.
Anyway, this isn't a fault of ours - it's just human nature!?

The domains were sold for $78 to a member from this forum and will be developed to "create an info site and memorial to the victims". Which is a very acceptable use in my opinion.

I also want to apologise to everybody that got offended with this sale, but it looks like they will be put to good use in the end which is what I wanted in the first place.

I'm sorry to say but you flip flop the story.

You asked for $60 and you change the price and story AFTER I post SOLD.

You need to stick with what you said even if you make a mistake.

You can't run a business by changing the price every minute.

John,

I really appreciate your (and other members) offer and goodwill but I wanted to sell them to someone that would actually develop the domains by building Charity/Info sites and not just redirecting them to the Redcross which I was already doing since yesterday.

You did not state that in your original post!

I am from Asia and I can feel the pain of my friends and other people.

You asked for $60 and I was willing to pay for the asking price just to close this thread. I have no plan of making profit from these names. Just want to buy to see if I can help.

You really disappointed me and "You have no rights to change your statement and price".

I'm very upset the way you handle the situation!

Johnn,

I changed my post like 10 times. At first I wanted to hear offers and then I started giving different offers and I also realised that I should give information regarding the reason for selling them which I did later on.

I take full resposibility for my mistakes and want to tell you that I am really sorry. I wasn't sure if you were serious about your offer (misunderstood your post) also because you didn't contact me by PM and a lot of people were also interested in the offer. I see now that you were really interested and had only goodwill in using the domains. For that I am truly sorry :(

Beleave me, I am very upset that a lot of members here got upset with this sale because I am really not a bad person.

PS: I have a friend from Sri Lanka which was the country worst hit by the Tsunami therefore I understand how bad this disaster is.
