Long story short,
a friend of mine recently started a web hosting business, and he's made plenty of progress. His clients from consulting are moved to his hosting business and he grinded his way to acquiring his first real customers with cold email, outbound sales etc.
After some consideration, he revamped the layout into something more modern.
A few things are still missing (knowledge base, forum etc) but overall, the core is there.
He also launched a promo on Hacker News, with a recurring 70% discount and within 12 hours he got his first paid customer from that post.
