I launched proxynut.com earlier this month, March 12th. Since launch the site has grown faster than I expected. Currently up to 5000 visits per day with ZERO promotion. I have not optimised the site as best I could for adsense, but it makes anywhere from $1 to $6 per day. (Can get much higher clicks if ads were positioned better)

I am looking to raise money to finance a project I am currently working on so im forced to sell some of my better sites :(.

Stats (taken at 11pm EST today)

Starts at $100
BIN $2500

Good luck guys..

How did you promote the site....?

Also what do you pay in hosting cost per month?

I dont promote the site.. It was picked up by google, and then a lot of proxy listers posted it..

I own my own ISP so I pay nothing for hosting..

Question...

I have a question regarding proxy sites in general, and answering it will indeed help on whether I'd want to purchase your site or not.

I bought one recently, got hosting for it (at GoDaddy, shared hosting which probably wasn't wise), and then the very next day after it was up, GoDaddy had emailed me about receiving some complaints about spam coming either from me or from the site. Obviously it someone using the site, but my question is what the heck do I do to avoid that situation? I had my hosting deactivated by GoDaddy, who still hasn't responded to my email stating I would take the service off of my site that allowed the user to do what he did and disclose any IP information they desired on the traffic to the site if they didn't have it (and I'm beginning to understand why people hate their customer service because that was a week ago). Do you have to have your own server to run these kinds of sites or what? Can you still get screwed if you do, even with a disclaimer on your site removing liability for illegal activities done while using the site?

I say all this because I would be interested possibly in purchasing your site, since I now have a proxy name with a lot of traffic sitting on a parked page since this mess (still making $3+ a day so I'm not exactly crying over what happened) and would like to put a site on that name and/or redirect it to another proxy site that I'd buy (like yours). I am however unsure of how exactly sites like these can be run without complaints like what I mentioned. I think answering this would also put some others at ease as I think many are afraid to own these kinds of sites for the reason I just laid out. Thanks in advance.

Edit: Well, I just noticed you said you own your own ISP...can you perhaps at least address this concern anyways? Thanks.

Spamming?? Spam consists of multiple email messages of the same body. (Meaning thousands of messages) To use a proxy service like proxyhut.com it would be hard to do. I would think that the code on your proxy site was vulerable to a hack which would allow them to spam. (hacked your site)

It might be a good idea to add a small disclaimer just to avoid hassel. But it would be hard for you to get in any trouble if someone used the proxy site to do anything. First off you would have a record in your log files of which IP did what at what time. The service really isnt for hackers as it still is traceable. Its more for bypasing firewall rules.

Good luck..

I am fairly sure that Google doesn't allow ads on the proxy pages - probably just a matter of time before your account is banned.

Just to warn you.

I read their agreement and did not see anything about proxy sites..

Can you send me the quote on their terms? I have checked several times..

Ads are permitted on the main page of a proxy site, just not on proxified pages.
