Hello,

Does a Professional Appraisal makes a difference when negotiating with someone who seems cannot grasp the high value of a domain name, maybe he has the money, but he does not understand about domain valuations, so a third party Professional Appraisal will make a difference?

And if you think yes, which Professional Appraisal service you recommend?

Accurate Apprasials certificates looks very good, but not sure if it will make differnce with the buyer...that they are not aware of the industry overall

Thanks
Amro

A good professional appraisal will help break down everything regarding the asset to reveal where the value is to the buyer, including source links to where the data came from so the buyer can verify the data themselves.

Most (If not all) paid appraisals, not only withhold the source of data (Because they want you to pay again and not go do it yourself), can be bias towards inflating value to assist the seller more than buyer, unfortunately. Which is why there are so many appraisal scams going around where the seller or buyer is also affiliated with the appraisal source they require the other party to use. Many times, no sale ever takes place, just an appraisal fee collected unethically.

You can check out the NamePros Professional Appraisal section since you are a Gold member to get a better idea of what some domain resellers and buyers look for. You can also take a look at the sources provided in some of those appraisals. The appraisals there are not bias towards the buyer or seller and cover both avenues of interest to keep an honest and transparent playing field.
