    The actual URL is https://domaincracy.com/pricing
    https://domaincracy.com/pricing?domain=someMeat&min=1&max=15&excl=sleep,athlete,thing&pos1=0&pos2=1 returns
    DomainMarket.com domains that
    • start with "some"
    • or
    • end with "Meat"
    • and exclude "sleep,athlete,thing"
    • and are between 1 and 15 characters long.
    https://domaincracy.com/pricing?domain=First.Group&min=9&max=15&excl=sport,game&pos1=2&pos2=2&andor=1 returns
    DomainMarket.com domains that
    • contain "First"
    • and
    • contain "Group"
    • and exclude "sport,game"
    • and are between 9 and 15 characters long.
Let me know if you have suggestions for improvements.
    Have fun.

    • A probably good reminder that the DomainMarket.com retail prices may be higher than other marketplaces. Moreover, the tool retrieves the top three of those matching your search. Most likely, such prices are materialized only when finding the perfect buyer. Mike Mann is reporting quite regularly spectacular sales.
    • Data applicability aside, I believe that finding comparables amongst active items (as opposed to completed sales) has value. The utility could be expanded to include data from other marketplaces and reputable portfolios, such as SEDO, GoDaddy, MediaOptions etc.

Why not, indeed? Of course one can do the search part there. The DomainMarket.com search works great. And their data is public: one can download it and mine it as desired.
    • I haven't seen any marketplaces or sellers that compare their domains for sale with similar active listings. Hence the idea: show active comparables alongside your domain for sale.
      • If the buyer is convinced that your domain is better and buys yours, great.
      • If the buyer decides a comparable is better, great for DomainMarket.com.
      • And, good for the buyer.
    • The utility presented here aims to make the search easy. Please submit suggestions for improvements.
    • Last but not least, I checked with Mike Mann before pursuing this against the DomainMarket.com data and he blessed both the idea and the Domaincracy.com implementation.
I think that the idea is a win-win, for the seller, for the industry leader providing the comparables, for the end-user, and for other domainers. The Mann agreed.

Does the tool only compare domain market prices ?because if that's the case I find it useless

    • If you think that by comparison your prices are a lot better, then that is the use. It's like shopping at a discount store: their label says "Our price: $99. Compare to Macy's $999." It could help your case with a certain clientele.
    • Another potential use: if we assume that DomainMarket.com has pricing consistency, use that. How? If you think they are 10x what the price should be, then divide the comparables average price by ten. Come up with your own magic number.

    • Yes. But, see my reply above.
    • Also, any dataset can be added to expand the user options. Do you know a large enough portfolio that is priced and willing to be shared?

I took care of it. The cookie consent popup should come up again after a year or if you delete your cookies for Domaincracy.com,

    Thanks Leo.
Great comparison. I would rather try to get Mike Mann money than selling to other domainers.

I see the more interesting aspect of what you guys have put together & think an authority (no question on authority, with Mike and/or his business)- offering the "premium" baseline, to be freely used and referenced by sellers plagued by "that's too expensive" sales roadblocks. This is something of potential tremendous value, if used effectively & appropriately as part of your value, purchase, sell strategy.
