PR varies when I leave "www" out of domain.

Hello guys, I'm new to the forum.

My website egold-list.com's Pr changes when I leave the "www" out. If I leave it out, I get a PR of 1, and if I keep it, I get a PR 3. I remember a similar problem being posted. I can't recall if it was on this forum or another. Anyway, is there a way I can fix this? I have a bad habit of leaving "www" out, just curious how many of you guys do the same? Since my site is a toplist, I feel it's important that possible members see the highest PR possible.

If you have .htaccess just use this

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www
RewriteRule .? http://www.%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [R=301,L]

ok, here's the long answer. go to google webmaster tools, and choose one. it doesn't matter, in the long term, which you choose, they'll end up the same after a few months. once you've chosen one, in googl webmaster tools and set it to that. next, in your .htaccess file:


RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.EXAMPLE.COM [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://EXAMPLE.COM/$1 [L,R=301]

in this case, i'm removing all the WWW's. you can do the opposite by putting the WWW on the second line.

yeah I think it's because you have been linking to your site with out using www. in your link. you have to pick one ad also include http://www. in your link as well. you can do it the same way. http://yourdomain.whatever
the thing is you just have to pick do you want to use the www. or with out the www.
just choose and link only with or with out. I think that's why your having these problems.
