How can i get a form to post into a variable?

I am assuming you mean for PHP as you have not stated.

When a form is submitted the names of the fom inputs are automatically created as variables in the php script.

Depending on what version of php you are using depends on the best way to get hold of them.

If you have an input called name in the php script the contents of that input will be available in a variable called $name (although you should pick it up using $_POST['name'] or $_POST['get'] this of course depends which method was used to submit the form get or post).

Remember never trust input from a user check that anything they input is the way you expect it to be for example if you have 1 for age ensure that it is a number and not something like phpinfo() for example otherwise your script could have undesireable effects.
