What is this? I saw my domain in Sedo! But I do not even register in it! I think it is fraud? Have you ever been in such situation?
I saw many another domains that, of course, do not for sale, but posted in Sedo.
And I saw many domains that are not register, but posted in Sedo too. Someone thought a business without risk to sell stupid end users domains that can be registered after its purchase!!!

And please tell me about the following. For example, domain OceanState.com is sold for $250000 by DomainMarket.com. Rhode Island is named Ocean state. The population of Rhode Island is about one million.
Louisiana is named Creole State (even Wiki redirects). The population of Louisiana is about 4.5 million. You can make a simple proportion… But there are no comments… Maybe I do not understand something in this life?
Also Pennsylvania is named Coal State. The population of Pennsylvania is about 12.7 million…

Most likely someone owned the name before you did and had them on Sedo. Sedo doesn't seem to actively make sure domains are still registered. They will come off eventually.

This says something about the value, someone has tried to sell them in the past and failed, gave up, forgot about them.

I'll try one:
Creole State
Global monthly searches: 320
Competition: Low

This may be what people call Louisiana, but sure doesn't seem to be a lot of them. Also the ones that do aren't looking to buy anything. I'd go low xx reseller (Higher for those from Louisiana), end user mid to high xx.

On a side note Ocean State gets 165,000 monthly searches.

Thank you very-very much!
It is very necessary information for inexperienced domainer. Probably, my mistake was following: I have used simple google search. I saw 38 million results.
Please, tell me, where I can use “Global monthly searches”? I must choose “past month” instead “any time” in google?
But is there any proportion? For example, one global month search cost about $1-1.5?
$250000/165000=1,515. 320*1,515=480! But not 50$! Or I am wrong again and there is no any proportion?

I like to think of it as to what advertisers are paying compared to how many searches its getting. Ocean state shows an avg click price of $1.17. If you can get ranked highly and start getting just 20% of the 165k as visitors you're looking at 33k visitors. If you can get 5% of those to click on your ads thats 1650 clicks, at 1.17 a click thats a potential $1930 a month.

When you start with a domain with 320 searches and no competition for ads its 0+0+0=0 - $8 reg fee.

Still the name does have value, but you can't calculate it with those proportions. Diamonds.com sold for 7.5 million, but you'll never get 10% or even %1 for a name like diamonds.mobi. You might get %1 (75k) for diamonds.net.

Thank you again, but where I can check this information? How I can know how much month global searches for anything word? Please, give me a link! Where can you know the click price?
Yes, I understand it, but all the domains in this thread are coms.
And what do you think about premium domains? For example, I want to register a domain and registrar write that this domain name is premium. It costs several thousand dollars instead $8. Is any perspective in registering similar names? For example, FirstName.com costs $1.5K. I must register SecondName.com?

You can't outsmart Google.

Don't buy domains based on Global Search. Remember that content will always be king. Google wants content rich sites that are updated and frequently and have a lot of inbound links. Focus on purchasing (not registering) brandable .COMs and then either sell them or go out and brand them via development. Anything less will result in failure. IMO.
