Hey everyone,

I currently have a small portfolio of domains that are the state name and accounting firm. These are the top 20 most populated states in America.

I work as a part time web designer and my original plan was to sell each of them individually but the problem was that one of my clients recommended me to a friend which lead to me landing a contract that could last for an extremely long period of time (like 2+ years lol).

So what I'm looking to do now is to just sell off the entire portfolio to get it off my hands and I was wondering…what do you guys think it's worth???

Just to give you an idea of how marketable they are, if you go into super pages and look around for an accounting firm in any of the states it will often give you at least 500+ different firms that you can contact.

Also the reason that I decided to buy out all of these domains was because I bought a similar accounting domain for a client who eventually backed out and I spent about 4 hours looking around for a buyer for the domain and eventually found on that bought it for 300$...so I know that they do have some value to them but the problem is finding the time to sell them.

I don't want to devalue your domains, but it seems by doing a quick search that people will rather type the 2 letters of the state than the whole state name. I thinks this domains will be better develop.

Massachusetts is a hard one, often people type MA, Mass or rather search for Springfield or Boston.

They are worth whatever an end user is willing to pay.

However, a domain like CaliforniaAccounting.com would be in far more demand IMO.

wholesale: $X each ( = time value of remaining registration.) Weak keyword search metrics and high character count make these a tough sell to domainers or mini site operators.

retail: $XXX each requiring time consuming cold calls and negotiating disadvantage. Accounting firms are tighter than the bark on a tree. They know how analyze cost/benefit and >99% will stick with "Dewey, Cheatem and Howe" over "state accounting firm."

Also when you can reg this many states in one sitting while drinking a beer, thats a reseller value clue.

But the real reason i am interrupting my break from giving out appraisals and posting on your thread is your sales pitch page.

In my opinion you need to lose the red border, the "sorry" the red "Already Taken"

People see that and just want to backup and leave it without reading

Make it not look like a "warning page"

I would also change the email address that you are using to receive inquiries with. People will wonder why does a weightloss company have this accounting domain...

I mean most of these names are 20+ characters? Most firms are not going to want a domain this long, I can assure you...

Get the OP to put them up for auction here and see how much they go for

Well maybe no value as domain auction, but they could pay for themselves and something extra. You won't make a living out of them.
