Not sure if i put in too many for appraisal. I apologize if that is the case.

All i wanted to know is, which ones from these would you select and hold. Just want to understand which ones do you feel have the most potential.

Yeah, normally it is frowned upon here to put more than one domain under one post for an appraisal. Just by looking at them, I can tell that these are hand-regged domains. Maybe you could get $x to a low $xx for a few of them but it's really not worth keeping any of them. Plus, you are playing with fire when it comes to the new extensions. I'd leave those alone unless you can find a killer one such as real.estate or buy. cameras.

I honestly think you have just wasted a nice amount of cash

My advice is to read this section for a few months before registering a another name, it will save you money in the long run

Thanks for the feedback guys.

What is your take on the new domain extension? isnt this something that will go big?

In short, No.

Some new Extensions are likely to do better than others but for a newbie stick to .Com and maybe consider some premium .Net and .Org extensions.

Just MO.

Don't believe the hype. Registries make money by getting you to believe it. So do some domain bloggers.

Will they "go big"? Probably they'll remain fairly marginal for many years.

Even if some people begin using them, that doesn't mean those people would have wanted to pay hundreds or thousands of dollars in order to use them.

These new extensions are generally considered to be very big risks for resale / investment purposes. Compared to .COM and other established extensions, these nTLDs

(1) Cost more
(2) Sell less frequently
(3) Sell for less
(4) Are less familiar or trusted by the mainstream public

People will tell you what the future is going to be. But they won't tell you WHEN that is going to happen. And they won't give you your money back.

Anybody can make exaggerated predictions about the future. Lots of people are. But those people are NOT offering to buy each others' domains in the new extensions. And it says a lot that they don't believe enough in them to buy them from each other.

P.S.

Disregard those numbers from Estibot. They're ludicrous. High numbers for domains worth nothing. And zero for some domains that might actually sell.

Thanks guys for all the feedback.

One question though - Do the new Tlds have any benefit over seo or will it be the site with the best content that wins....for example:

searchengineland.com vs seo.land

assuming the first one has great content and the 2nd one doesnt have any good content, the first one automatically wins......but

What if both are of equal quality... what happens then?

Why on earth would Google award some sort of bonus to a site just for using some new TLD?

If anything, Google wants to discourage cheap tricks to getting ranked higher.

All else being equal, Google typically likes aged sites. One clear giveaway that a site hasn't been around long is the use of one of these vanity extensions.

Well said. As far as we know, Google treats all extensions equally. It's the age, content, backlinks, etc. that matter.
