i just installed this on /chat, but i want it to share a database with /board (which is a phpbb forum) - is there any way to do this?

any help is much appreciated!!

Theoretically yes, but I presume you will need to rewrite one of the scripts to some extent, and that's not an easy feat considering the size of both of them.

Each script makes use of a separate SQL database, whose fields are different, therefore requiring different queries.

The good thing is that somebody else has already done it for you. You will need to search for it, regarding integration of phpmychat into phpBB. While I used to have a copy of such hack around, I cannot locate it right now. A quick google search reveals:

But I'm not really sure it's the one I used to have. Do some research around and I'm sure you'll find the good one, if that's not the correct one.
