Most of the time you should take what Googlers say with a grain of salt or at least read between the lines but I can't argue with John Mu saying this week...
Mixing a bunch if topics on a page is a one way ticket to Google saying wtf and tossing it aside. I see this a lot with small businesses who describe all their services on the same page. Looking at keywords that drive traffic to that page, you usually see some for the first service listed, and volume drops off steadily as you go down the page.
Worst example I saw was a page with so much unfocused content Google thought it was about something not even remotely related to what they do.
Category pages are fine, but if it's important, give it its own page!
