I don't know why but people are going for dictionary word domains which are misspelled. :D We saw earlier when Recieve.com was sold on Flippa for good amount... But this time again.. Good luck for this seller..

the domain is "Knowledgable.com". The correct dictionary word is knowledgeable.

:) Dont know when a day will come when genuine domains at realistic prices will be sold! When we go out to sell no one wants to buy. But each day we hear of "amazing" domain sale prices which really makes me wonder how and if such deals really happen. I think such auctions should really come with a notice - misspelt word so that users are aware what they are bidding on. But mostly auction platforms ignore it as they get their fees and the seller gets to sell their domain and in the end the buyer suffers!

Shouldn't happen on Flippa, but it's pretty easy to do when bidding or sniping against the tighter deadlines at Namejet or Godaddy.

These are so called "Brandables" :)

Thats why its regd since 12Years ago...... Its way better name than other brandable names.

Sorry but I won't agree here..The seller has misinterpreted the buyer by calling it as Dictionary term. This may be a 12 year old brandable domain, but not a dictionary word..

Yup It shouldn't be a "Dictionary word" Term. Though its brandable.... Thats why people placed bids :)

Not sure why people don't research before they bid..

My previous reply was for this :)

:) Cheers!

One google result refers to it as "alternate spelling"

Misspelled words still kick up some traffic. Knowledgeable has 102 million results with knowledgable turning over 10 million. Maybe the end user would hope to pick up a few of these. There was a thread on here recently about misspells and some attract high end prices. Typos often do the same.

The problem I see is that Google always offers the correct spelling option - I tend to just click on that when I misspell a word and get the search results for the correct spelling.

Best,
Paul

As somebody that recently sold a Misspelled domain, I don't see the problem. If there's a Buyer for it, and you make a profit, who cares? I also have Indoneesia.com which I hope I can flip one day. I think Indonesia.com has got to be pretty valuable.

It's not a word - it's "Know LED Gable". Great business name for someone named Gable selling light emitting diodes.

In actual fact Indoneesia is a good brandable name. Up there with the best of them all.

As far as I am concerned, out of all your names you ever posted, it is the best by miles.

I don't see misspellings as brandable at all. The only possible, and far reaching, definition that would include them is where brandable is defined as a non-dictionary word. Nobody is going to build a company and invest in a brand for knowledgable. I suppose the exception is if they are selling ignorance.

I think it's entertaining and cute when people spend big bucks on misspelled names.

I have brought a misspelled domain called burgalry.com here in Namepros without knowledge that it is a misspelled/typo because the link the seller gave led me to the search result for burglary page. Google automatically changes burgalry to burglary and the no of search result remain unchanged. It seems a good brandable domain as per discussion above. Should I try Flippa? However, I dont want to misled the buyers there. I want to clearly mention that is is a misspelling. I will appreciate your suggestions.

I think yours is one that could have good value. Your on the right track to make it clear that it is a misspelling, but beyond that it is always the buyers responsibility to do their own due diligence. Remember, a good portion of the country actually thinks it is spelled "burgalry", and that is what they will search for when there trailer gets broken into, or looking for a vocational school.
