.club .Club Showcase and Discussion Thread

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
With the recent popularity and domination of the new gTLD registrations in the .Club extension, it's appropriate to get a showcase and discussion thread going for the extension. Use this thread to showcase .Club domains you invested in, Discuss .Club, and point out record breaking .Club sales.

I'll get things started by showing off our new .Club that redirects back to NamePros ::: DomainName.Club ::::

What .Clubs have you guys and gals invested in?
Any great .Club news that others should be aware of?
What are some (Verifiable) mind blowing .club sales you've seen?
How much are you enjoying your new .club?
Know of any developed .Clubs that look cool?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Where can I get the stats regarding the gTLDs registered. And all other statistics.

ntldstats.com. Although, I have to say if you offer names for free or nearly free some gTLDs can really pump the numbers. .CLUB continues to sell names and by almost all measures: usage, awards, and premium name sales we are #1. #4 I think on total registrations on ntldstats.com

New Get.club sells 150K in names in 1 week after NamesCon. We also just launched a no risk 15% commission (50% of first 18 payments) for anyone who hands out a broker code and makes a sale. Also your customer receives 10% off and 60 months of financing.

Here is the article that DomainInvesting just came out with:

http://www.domaininvesting.com/club...-first-week-of-broker-program/#comment-812022

We are so excited about this program. Getting great brandable names in hands of entrepreneurs to boost usage is our goal.

Hi, I saw your broker program and I had thought that this is great thing, but than i became member of your broker program and realized that this is not so great. It is good if someone wants to buy domain in 60 months without interest, but your prices aren't good at all. There are many domains that can be bought much cheaper without brokerage program in spite of 10% discount for transactions via your brokers.

Example:
At m.get.club domain yachting.club has price of $10.000, with 10% discount it's price is $9.000, but at Namesilo.com you can buy it regularly for price of $7.238. There are many, many examples like this one. This is just bad marketing for you in domainers world. Sad :(

But, that's the whole point. Their buying program is good for people who don't have $7 or 8K sitting around.

So, you could say the interest is built into the sales price.

It would be very similar to taking out a loan to buy a $7 or 8K domain, but you have to also count the interest that you're paying on the loan.

Yes, but I don't see anything special in that offer to brokers. In this case brokers are selling loans, like bankers.

The key selling point is that your client can finance the domain over 60 months @ 0% interest, and also get 10% off the price tag.

And you get 15% commission. I think that's a fair deal.

The hard part is convincing your client to buy a .club over a .com.

I replied to another thread about .club domains, but that thread was moved to another section, so I post again:

GOLD.CLUB 4000 USD
Food.Club 10,000 USD

A lot of premium .club domains have been sold since the beginning of this year, including few expensive ones. Not only food.club.

I like .club domains, but It would be very good and would be a lot of sales if .club registry will
come back to reality!

I checked FOOD.CLUB before... $10,000 ... May be this price is OK... not sure... but I have domain FOOD.WORLD which is a perfect combination, and for $10K, I can renew it 45 (!) years!

adult.club - Listed for sale for $ 50,000 (!!!) - REALY?!

adultclub.com
just few days ago was sold for $2,250 at the NamesCon's auction!
$5K - $7,5K will be nice price for adult.club, for end user, but who will buy it for $50,000 ?!

A lot of domains listed for $50,000 - $200,000 just wasting time and money.

I also would like to buy one domain, like the end user, but the price is the same $50,000. Overpriced!

What should I do? @Colin Campbell
Wait when the price will decrease and will be $10,000... one-two years or less... or choose an alternative domain tomorrow?

At the end of the day, I think the key to success with any domain extension is their usage. .COM is over 30 years old and most websites are built on this tld. As a result, most people are familiar with .COM's. It's something that people got used to over the years. Now imagine 5 to 10 years from now, when a bunch of end-users have built their sites using .CLUB, and more and more people are getting used to seeing .CLUB websites. What do you think will happen to people's perceptions of the new tld's.

In the beginning, people were also skeptical about .ORG and .NET. Obviously these are no where near as popular as .COM, but the point is, they can eventually be trusted and regularly used. ie: Craigslist.org and PHP.net

Why .Club ?

.CLUB – the ideal domain extension for the social world we live in. The Internet has connected us in ways we never dreamed of. Everyday, communities and groups are forming around every imaginable interest. Whether a tribe of 2 or 2000, there’s never been a better, easier time for people to come together around a common passion. There’s never been a better time to be a part of a club. Now you can get the perfect .club address

a URL that immediately tells the world you are about people sharing a common interest,
whatever that passion may be.

a URL that has meaning and marketing value…
someone had to say it ,lol...

....
and PHP.net

php.com was regged in 1993.
php.net was regged in 1997.
They use .net, not because they like .net, because in '97 (when they regged the .net) the .com was alredy owned.
Not becuse they like .net.
I remeber in the '99/'00 when I start to learn php, and their official site was ( is ) php.net, my first tought was: ".net???? Why .net?? php.net??? It's so crappy! Why not .com"?
They had not choice in '97, .net or nothing.

We are doing our best to keep prices attainable which is why we launched Get.club. I just bought Filter.club for myself (future business idea) and with the 10% off I pay 15 bucks per month for the name for 60 months. .CLUB renewal rate on Godaddy $8.99. The key is that I own the name. Some of these TLDs that offer the prices charge the same fee yearly and they could increase prices for that category of name. .CLUB todate has received 12.2 million in funding. We will attend 15 trade shows globally this year, and we continue to invest heavily in channel marketing. I don't believe there is any other TLD that spends more than us on global marketing. The prices and sales of the premium names support our marketing efforts. Thanks for support.

Thank you for your reply!

I am watching for .club prices and already bought few premium domains when their prices went down. It took more than 1 year. The total price more than $20,000 USD. Not cheap!
And I know that everything will be OK!

But I'll wait for a price reduction for other domains, and only then I'll buy them. If not... so not! In this case, I will choose the other extensions.

Yes, you are right!

But the good candy will not taste better only because of that they will be better and more advertised.
The competition among registries and extensions will only increase in the future.

I'm looking to possibly buy some .club domains , if I can find something that makes sense & is usable , the .club extension can work for so many things if done right . i'll pick up some .club domains only if I can pick up the same word .com and / or .net extension also .

Namepros will join the negativity.club

You want offers on yours too? As long as you don't accept them I'll make them.

.club is useful for people that want to create a domain for their club but realistically, how many clubs are there willing to invest $$$ to setup a club? Generic names don't work anyway. You're more likely to sell AlbertaChess.club than Alberta.club - wtf is a city.club?

AlbertaClub.com is listed and yours for $1800 as a defensive reg.

What a waste of time this extension is for resellers. People don't seem to understand the difference between a domain that's great for personal use and one that is great as an investment. Maybe wine.club for a national wine club - but how many of those are there?

BeatGtldDomainInvestorsOverTheHeadWithaBigAss.Club
or
ilostmoneyongtlds.club

Are available.
lol , telling it like it is .

I did miss the boat but I'd rather be on dry land than dinghy with a hole in it.

Two guys in a boat sinking...
"What are we gonna do? There's a hole and we're filling with water"
"Don't worry, I'm making another hole for the water to go out of!"

This is for those that invest in one gTLD and rather than take the loss... they invest in others to "hedge".

You're so confident in ThePinkPony.club that you don't think that someone would take ThePinkPonyClub.com? Can you be so confident that they won't just go for PinkPonySofl.com? That said, at least you have a chance because that is a popular name for an adult club & your expectations aren't too high ($40).

At least you're kind of thinking unlike some of the other numnuts.
lol , I can tell that your having a problem expressing yourself , don't be shy .... tell us how you really feel .
