Odd or not: www-keywordhere.net

I was browsing a marketplace at a well known forum for 'premium websites for sale'. This one particular website for sale featured a domain name in the format of: www-keywordhere.net (http://www.www-keywordhere.net).

It went on to read that they did extensive research and saw a very high CTR% because psychologically visitors feel it must be an authoritative site because they see it as www.keywordhere.net.

Has anyone experimented with this domain name format at all? What are your opinions?

It's common, this is a typo domain I think. as I believe keyboard in some countries has "-" key near the "." key.

So probably the traffic is coming from typo typing, correct me if i'm wrong
