Pro-choice is GREAT because the hyphen is widely used on that. Nice find.

Ouch, you picked up two I found last week and was waiting to reg! Nice grabs.

On the plus side, it motivated me to register two more geos on my list: WacoTexas.mobi and WacoTX.mobi

I was a little gunshy on regging the hyph, but the results were better with it, so I finally pulled the trig for it.

I like the Waco names, nice. I have AllenTX and AllenTexas.

Oceanside is a great find. There is so much growth there and it's only expected to continue.

I wouldnt reg these type of GEO names like CityState.mobi and CityStateAbb.mobi unless it is a major city such as ChicagoIL.mobi and ChicagoIllinois.mobi. Oceanside.mobi without any state in the name would be a great name to have.

So would Chicago.mobi. So..?

I agree with that. Although I do have one, HendersonNV.mobi. Now kind of wish I had never reg'd it.

Registering these CityState names is really reaching, I think.

Not according to OVT results. Try typing various cites with their abreviated state behind them. And what if there are multiple cites, like Albany NY, Albany GA, Hollywood CA, Hollywood FLA, etc. I guess they don't deserve to have a site about them, because someone else is using the one word term?? What if Oceanside was used as a site for homes, beaches, activites to do etc? Does that mean that city can't have a .mobi or .com or .whatever site, because someone grabbed the name first. Outside the box people, think 'outside the box'. There are other situations to think about, other than the assumable perfect ones.

Do what you want, I'm just giving my opinion that in most cases it is reaching. I would take HollywoodCA though, that would be an exception in my book.

I live 30 minutes from Oceanside. It is growing, but it is basically a very small city that wouldn't warrant a reg with the state attached.

Again, just giving my honest opinion.

Real estate in San Diego is so incredibly competitive that if you developed it properly you could (possibly) sell ads to real estate agents, local restaurants, etc.

Well, judging by the crashing home prices here and massive foreclosures, I would need to disagree with that.

Sure, developed properly OceansideCA.mobi COULD be successful. But I don't think that's why the OP reg'd it.

So could "oside.mobi" or "myoceanside.mobi" or "youroceanside.mobi". If you're developing, you can get anything to be successful. Get my point?

What crashing home prices? Where in San Diego are you talking about? It's a buyers market, yes, but properly priced homes are still selling. My parents just looked at homes in Oceanside and we haven't seen any kind of dip in prices.

LOL, I'm not here to debate the real estate market. But prices are down, and lots on the market not moving right now. That's happening all over the country, but particularly here because the market was artificially inflated with all of the RE speculation of the past 5 years or so.

Very true, much isn't moving.

Anyone who bought last year or the year before is messed up because after the big fire from Ramona through Scripps Ranch and down into Mexico 3 (?) years ago the prices all artificially doubled and tripled.

Since this isn't piggington.com I'll ease off the real estate stuff lol. Oceanside is a pretty cool place. The surfer's museum is there, the pier is cool (don't need a fishing license to fish), and it's got a real beachy feel especially near 101. Don't waste the domain name - go ahead and develop if you can.

It's only fitting my 100th post is about a place with a surfing museum lol.

oside - 68K yahoo
my oceanside - 356 yahoo
your oceanside - 1,170 yahoo
Oceanside CA - 2.4Mil yahoo
Oceanside NY - 428K yahoo

knock your self out developing, but I can see which I would go with. But in reference to my query - And what if there are multiple cites, like Albany NY, Albany GA, Hollywood CA, Hollywood FLA, etc. I guess they don't deserve to have a site about them, because someone else is using the one word term?? Hawkeye,

I suggest you do some more research:

"Oceanside California" - Wordtracker prediction: 127/day
"Oceanside CA" - Wordtracker prediction: 0/day

I don't know how that translates into millions of Yahoo search results.

"oceanside ca" type it in on yahoo.

oh, sorry. thought you were talking about OVT results.

IF you are planning to develop the name, I say it would be ok. It's not good for speculation though. Really.
