Hello,

I bought a 4 letter (LLLL.com) and the domain is in my account. The seller forgot to remove the domain from afternic,(i bought from a forum) and you guessed it, it sold, and for $2,995. Before i knew this, i had already listed it on Godaddy Premium for $5,700

The afternic buyer contacted me threw whois and explained he needed the domain. I told him I listed it on godaddy for 5,700, He told me about the 3k on Afternic. Im firm at 5k. Still in talks..

Anyone had this happen where the domain sells on an aftermarket after you bought somewhere else?

Im not going to mention the domain name because of obvious reasons.

Some people just have to learn things the hard way, I guess. He should have removed it from his account once the name sold (something I always make sure and do) to prevent this very thing from happening. If it's a name you really like/wanted then I suggest staying firm on your price. If you could use the cash (and are still making profit) then work out a deal with him where you'll get some of the profits for your time.

You mention you had it listed godaddy premium, which had been 30% commission, correct? meaning you were happy to make $4k for the domain.

You can still find a happy in between place for both of you and sell it through Escrow.com to minimize the commission...
