Look domain is a typical business you can never know what will happen in the next minutes. yes you can have good domains sometime it may not sell as your expected and sometime you have what you think is bad and may give you good profits.

Domainers sometimes are jealous or ticklish at you and if care is not taken you might be confused and drop the name for them to pick; like it happened to Ron Jackson when he was trying to seek for advise in order for him to choose a name for Domain name journal; somebody confused him to drop domainnamejournal.com which he recently bought at one auction sale.
