advice New to the site and the selling domain game

Hey guys,

I've had a domain name in my possession for about 12 years now, it used to be a popular video game news site that i ran but now it's just been the domain for about 5 years or so. It's called Aeropause.com and I'm looking to sell it.

I just have no idea what to price it at given a value of its name. By definition it's an aeronautical term and I think it was/is also a band?

Anyway I am registered with Sedo but I really dont know what to start a price at. What would you guys suggest I do, just start at a price and let people bid on it?

Edit: It strikes me as a "Brandable" Aerospace domain name. The fact that it is aged is good, but any backlinks have probably died off over the past 5 years of inactivity.

Why don't you restart the site as it were and build upon it? Just a thought.

Unless a potential buyer has a business plan for this name, it won't have any inherent value to an average domain investor.

Yeah I guess I could restart it into a new business idea. I have no interest in restarting it as a game site anymore. I was offered a few hundred for it last week but my intuition thought it was worth more.

Hey, I think you've just increased it's value to $2000

Seriously, though, I think $1000 is a little optimistic for a quick sale. I'd offer it for $850 and be willing to sell for low to mid $xxx. Then use the money to buy better domains. Rinse and repeat.
