The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

godaddy works good at $6.95 and if you can get approved at fabulous.com for their domain parking you can buy domains for $6.75, keep in mind price isn't everything as some of these cheaper outfits have horrible customer service or no weekend support, I like godaddy, fabulous, enom, namecheap, moniker, look at some others but read reviews as cheaper can sometimes be a pain...

Anything below $6.95 is suspect.

Pretty soon Imo that the .coms will be a buck or more higher due to increases at the registry.

GD is ok but be aware that they will overflow your inbox with mostly useless emails.

Last year I registered about 10 DNs with NetFirms.com. Just recently I transfered them all to GoDaddy accout. Thats where all my other names are. I never had a problem w/ NetFirms and the transfer was very easy.

Usually I register them at DomainSite at $6.99 for a basic .com but with NetFirms offering $4.95 plus privacy protection, it's hard to beat.

Of course the catch is you'll need to renew at $9.99 at NetFirms. :|

The $6.95 at Godaddy is plus 22 cents, most registrars include that fee. The cheapest that i use is Whiz.in a Directi reseller at $6.89 / coms (with no added 22 cents). The owner is TK, a member here at Namepros. The site goes down sometimes, and it takes a while to figure out where things are, but TK is very responsive.

Moniker is highly respected, although they seem to need more employees. They offer a Namepros discount at $6.95 / coms (with no added 22 cents).

Domains cost the registrar $6.22 each (more to resellers) and so you can see that margins are quite small at these levels. So for anything much cheaper there likely will be a catch.
