    No. I have quite a few domains expiring soon. Just requested a few auth codes for comparison purposes. They expire june9
    Have you ever encountered a registrar that stop giving auth codes before expiry @sarah.kate ?

    I can verify the codes work months later. I get the codes and move them out slowly.

    its the other way round
    most places have no expiry on codes
    nmesilo, namecheap,gd, dyna.. you name it.

    I only know of rebel who does have 10 day exp or so.
    I guess netsol too.

    probably there are others.. its just a small minority.
    which is as it should be. .cause its stupid to expire codes.

    cheers

    No, I haven't. I just worry that there is some gotcha coming for all the domains I got using the promotions.

    Requested auth code from Network Solutions and they have clearly mentioned in mail;
    "For security reasons, the auth code shown above will expire in 15 days. You may request a new code at any time online, or by speaking to our web service consultants."

    It says that but it’s not true. The codes are good for months after you ask for them.

    Usually, auth codes are system generated by the registrar. I know of a few registrars who let us change to custom auth codes. Many of them change it after 15 days of request and some donot. That is why the ambiguity.
