Does anyone know of any refferal type site that pays you a dollar or two if you direct people to a link and they sign up (for free)?
I remember stumbling across one once, and now I can't remember

It's called Pay-Per-Lead and there are alot of such merchants at CommissionJunction and Linkshare.

All you need to do is get the visitor to sign up for something, free gifts or trial or samples, etc and you get paid.

The merchant's happy because he has a potential customer's contact details. You are happy because you get paid and the customer's happy because she has just gotten a free gift
