I dont think will gather many domain sellers since they want a mugshot for a domain name marketplace

This is sad because personal i like them & also because they want to be a replace for defunct DAN

They made some sale recently including Prepaid.eu for 13 k € ( i think )
Maybe i will change my mind in few months & go with verifications

It's a recent new platform, european (nordic), not well known, mainly .de domains at the moment, aspiring to do the domain sales really simple once you have been trusted.

I did have to verify my bank, but I don't remember having to send in my ID or anything like that. Please see my earlier message below about Nameshift. In the meantime, I also used Afternic landers for a while, but later switched all of them back to Nameshift. The owners listen carefully to their customers and are constantly improving the platform. It's just a pity that they’re not very well known yet. Since I sell ccTLDs, transactions often go very quickly as well, because they also have a kind of “Dan bot”. And I am the seller of prepaid.eu .

I believe this platform could become the next dan.com. I’m currently in the process of transferring all my domain names over. I set up an account and did some initial testing to see how it works. I even purchased one of my own domain names to experience the buying process from the buyer's side, and the transaction went smoothly. There are definitely some areas for improvement, which I shared with them, and they’ve already implemented a few changes. I also suggested they become active on NamePros. The negotiation interface works very well, which is something many sellers are looking for. Below, I’ve attached screenshots of the negotiation screens from both the seller’s and buyer’s perspectives.

Since Sedo , GD/Afternic or Atom dont ask about this i dont see why Nameshift request this type of verification after all is a domain name marketplace

The user interface is the best...the only problem is sharing personal information. If you follow the same policy as your competitors, you will be ranked first in the world and you will succeed.

Just uploaded my portfolio a few days ago and it was quite a smooth process. Their landers are looking good. As a dutch domainer myself I know the founders and I can say they are worth your trust.

yeh but personally i am not comfortable with a mug shot
Of course i trust in dutch companies but ..

Hey guys, Niek from Nameshift here, thanks for the positive vibes here! Nameshift is stepping up where dan.com left the scene! For the KYC/KYB we use Sumsub and the verification is quite smooth but for some countries somewhat extensive maybe.

I'm a domainer myself for 20 years, just wanted all the features from dan.com and then some more and ofcource with better rates then the competition, accounts and sales on our marketplace are growing quite fast, thanks for all users!

Recently we introduced rent options as well as lease-before-own, custom landers with profile pics and text, seo metrics, portfolio link and ofcource instant payments! (transaction done is money in the bank in 3 minutes).

I spotted your post and the 'replace for defunct Dan' got my attention.

They will have a hard time getting a drivers license and photo from many people.

Truth be told, sending a photo is not a big deal...I would send my real one but sending a spoofed one is what most people would do. Having been through more than one theft of my ID, it is a rare event when I give that number out...much less all the other info a US drivers license includes.

After posting this, I will take a look at the platform to see what the buzz is about.

i sent real drive license @Mister Funsky i don't have any reason to send a spooky one because is a dutch compnay is about domain names but is not a crypto market & i don't see reason for a mug shoot
...as i say maybe i will do but i don't know
This platform is to good in term of how easy is , made is etc...
imo they must remove mug shot - must create another type of verification ..imo

I agree...the landers are nice and clean and little 'adds' like dark/light mode are a nice touch.

The verbiage in a couple of spots could use some tweaking but all in all it looks really good...it certainly brings back fond memories of Undeveloped/Dan.

The first page of sign up does not mention DL or other forms of ID but I did not start the process. Had I filled out the first page as a new user and then got a page where NameShift asks for DL, I would be very irritated. If they ask for an ID at any point, it should be upfront.
