well, i don't mean to sound rude but i can't really imagine how much marketing dollars you'll have to throw to promote some of those domains. qu9.com? wacq.com?

the only one there i think may be worth the registration fee is gamblinglife.com. as for the rest, to be perfectly honest, i would not take them for free because i don't like them.

Thanks Luc for your opinion. It is interesting that you picked on qu9.com as it is the only domain that would appear to have any intrinsic value (as a three character .com). As for wacq.com try pronouncing it out loud :hehe:

yeah, the nnnn.net ones jumped out at me.

IMHO, the nnnn.tld domains and any of the 3 character names are worth something. Not much though - x to low xx without traffic if you take the time to sell them seperately. Most of the nnnn.net domains get asian traffic, which is a bitch to monetize, reducing the value somewhat unless you get the right buyer.

For the rest, there are few that might get more than reg fee. (IE coms that are real words that aren't too long and make sense. - kickbush or australianpaintings yes, gumbles or waqc, no.)

Do any of these names get traffic?

Personally. I see some really good potential in these three:

manspeak.com
painlessloans.com
zoomguide.com

These are sites I would visit if they were presented to me. ManSpeak and ZoomGuide both have inherant curiosity factors that could prove to be well founded with good content and interesting information... With ManSpeak, perhaps a bit of humor.

PainlessLoans is a GOOD name. It would have been better a few years ago when the big craze was getting 125% equity out of your home! But even today, it has really good application and if developed and traffic driven to it, it could be worth ALOT I think.

To me, good domains DEFINE the market you are trying to reach. They are more than just a KEYWORD. For PPC ads, keywords may be important but for developement... no, I think words of phrases that DRIVE the point of the website are MUCH better. With a name like PainlessLoans.com you are doing that AND defining your market. Double Points!!!

Keep this one, develope this one. Sell ads space to Loan Companies there or get on their affiliate programs. Keep it CLEAN and NICE... don't make it PPC/Affiliate prostitution. You will find alot of residual revenue coming from that site if built properly.

Best of luck!

seosmart.com
seosources.com

are very interesting for anyone wanting to build a site around SEO.

seosmart.com could even be used for a piece of seo software. Just rebrand a existing seo software program to seosmart and use the site for it.
Just can't tell which SEO softwares are offering rebranding products...but it is a idea.

bettercover.com -- One of the best for reselling value i think
blogstar.com -- nice brand-name
getcalm.net -- would be better as .info IMO
hotscience.net -- nice educational one!

I like those, and also most of the others which have been commented on, for their development potential.

Thanks everyone for you comments (I have added rep all round). :xf.love: Now onto specific comments.

Most of these domains get traffic. The two stand outs are netdlix (nice typo) and m2m2 which both get around 500 visits a month with a reasonable click through rate. I am not sure how to develop netdlix, but as it more than pays it way parked I might just leave it parked.

Having recently been through the process of getting a home loan I now know that it is far from painless :'(

That is an excellent idea. I had intended to turn seosmart into a review site (with affiliate links), but I think yours is better :sold:

Yes I got the names cheap - most I paid no more than the reg fee. I have got better at this after a few silly purchase on snapnames :'(

Overall my intention with these names is a little different to most people here. I am slowly building out my names into information/authority/review sites (I haven't listed my names that have been built out so far) and so the names I like are a little different to peoples who are focused on sales to end users (or flipping here). The advantage of this approach is I am able to pick up names cheaply that others don't want. The risk of this is I end up with names like wacq which I agree is not the best name - I thought at the time might make a good game site (ie. wack you).

Cheers

I started with the same focus and kind of got side tracked. Kudos if you can stay focussed on the development end of it...

I don't want to turn this into a political debate, but I suspect that the Iraq war is more than enough to justify a high hit rate - just need to get time to get this going :hehe:

I hope so too - it is hard to stay focused every time you see a good name that could be developed - this is how I have ended up with so many names to develop. I have now set a limit on myself that I will only look at new names once every 2 weeks.
