Namepros introduces Custom Descriptions for their landers

Namepros continues to listen to community feedback and add the features members are demanding. The launch of their own landers has been very well received. Custom descriptions has been requested since the beginning. Now they are here.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
The description fields are a superior addition.

For those of us not sporting a portfolio of 3L and 4L .coms, a well worded description might the little extra thing that causes a potential buyer to think about the name a little longer.

This has the potential to take a seller from 1.5% sales to something better...well done NamePros!

When will we have an option for BIN only without make offer after the price reveal? 🙏

With the email notification of course to followup if BIN is not triggered.

@Bravo Mod Team How can I add a different expanded description to each domain? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I added a description and then I removed it because it showed on all my domains that have NP landers.

My assumption is you have to add specific information for each name.

Copy and paste is another option. I'm in the same boat and one thing that might help is a 3rd field.

You can use the minimum offer setting: "Use buy-now price when available or no minimum offer otherwise."

That setting is the only way to indicate to buyers that you are not willing to entertain offers except your BIN.

Buyers will automatically be notified by email notification, as well.

It's in the same "Edit" area on each domain name where you can set a buy now, minimum offer, etc.

Yes, I know how to enable the extended description as I said I added a description, but the problem is that the description I added for one of my domains was also shown in other domains that is why I disabled it. Is there a way to add a different description for each of my domains?

This will never happen if you set it on a specific domain like we described. That will only happen if you set it on your profile settings: https://www.namepros.com/parking/profile (don't set it here unless you want it to be the default on all of your landers).

Instead of setting it in your profile settings, visit each domain's "Edit" button. Please send us a screenshot of your "Edit" settings if that doesn't work.

I love being able to add descriptions to each domain! It would be great if we could select a group of domains from our offsite domain management spreadsheet to display the same description for and then use the "find domains" tab to paste that group of names and edit the description for all the names in that group at once.

Can you keep the email notification ?

Thank you, In my first message I said it was a dumb question so I expected a simple answer (it was very late in my country). So what I needed to be told was simply untick the "Use parking profile setting"

Luckily, I can enter symbols/emojis as opposed to the descriptions on Atom

Absolutely, we try to give you as much flexibility as we can. :)

Emojis are a great way to improve the appearance and readability of your descriptions on NamePros Landers. We're also trying to add support for embedding images in descriptions sometime this month.

You want to be notified by email each time someone views the price?

That could result in a lot of low-quality emails.

Are you sure?

(Note: We already notify you when they press the buy button, even prior to their payment.)

First scenario - Right now when you don't set a minimum make offer price you are being notified the second the potential buyer confirms his email, and notified again if the BIN is triggered or make offer is sent.

Thats great imo, more data and if someone is interesting in seeing the price and making an effort to confirm his email its a valid lead.

Second scenario - When you set a minimum you are not being notified unless the minimum is triggered or BIN is triggered so you lose all the people that wanted to see the price but decided to wait for now ( im losing data)
(yes you still see it on namepros but you need to enter the inquiry tab to see if there is anything new)

when you set the the minimum as the BIN

1) you look foolish because if the minimum is the BIN why add the make offer option
2) you are not being notified about the people that decided the BIN is not for them right now - but reality is, you better know about them so you can talk to them and understand more about their needs.

Solutions?

If the min offer is the BIN - remove make offer but still get notification everytime someone asks for the price .
Also, Add an option below the BIN - "Contact owner for more information", that can trigger an inquiry

So
1) you dont look foolish with make offer when there is no option to really make an offer
2) you get the notificaton so you can decide to followup with the lead if he didnt hit the BIN
3) buyer got a chance to understand more if he dont want to BIN right now but do want to contact the owner himself so easier to contact owner and move forward with something.

to make it clearer about the No make offer scenario

Yes, the buyer can followup later through the email they are getting about the inquiry submission but better to remove steps

1)remove the step of making an offer when you cant really make an offer
2) make it easier to contact owner - add an option to contact owner for more info instead of the make offer option so they dont need to look at their emails later and find out they can contact the owner through that.

If it's a no make offer scenario where the bin is the only option I would add a " have question" or "need help" or "contact owner" button that will trigger a popup and send an email to the potential buyer with contact details.

Again , with an email notification to the seller instantly after the price was revealed.

About emails, for me only confirmed emails.

If a buyer is not taking action to confirm his email, it's not serious enough/serious at all.

Pay attention to the second tab "ask a question" that should replace the make offer in an event the owner dont want to add an option for make offer.

That's how a bin without a make offer should look like at the second stage after price discovery (efty's example)


In namepros case, the buyer already got an email from namepros after the email confirmation so need to be creative and think what the ask a question should lead to.

1)A popup that says- we just sent you an email, you can reach out to the buyer
2) 3 fields - name email and message that goes directly to the seller.

The price discovery with email confirmation is a great feature, now we need to polish it.
