How has it affected your state so far, Here in Texas, We have it going around bad, 5 confirmed deaths in the Dallas-Ft Worth area in just the last 4 days, It aint looking good

Wow thats a high rate :o

Here in the U.K at the hospital where I work I have seen many cases none of which have died (thankfully) but we are all on high alert and the hospital has put measures in place should we get either alot of staff off or a large public influx. I myself am on alert call should I be needed to go in and cover an area affected.

We had two children die in adjacent counties. In all cases, it's been more of a complication than anything - ie: the last girl, bless her heart, had bronchitis + pneumonia which came along with H1N1. I've known personally of 6-7 people with it now, and I suspect that number is probably larger and will only increase.

Unfortunately this thing goes right for the lungs and attacks them the hardest, and I'm afraid it's not so much a more virulent strain as it is attacking the kind of people not used to being sick as much. It's like the flu, but with more respiratory force...

The bad news is that it needs to be watched, if you get sick, take care of yourself quickly. Disturbingly, I know of at least one person who they refused to give Tamiflu already. Not sure if they are stockpiling for worse or what.

Wow..that is terrible news. We have been relativley good here down under. I can't even recall a case in the area I live in.

Children dying is just horrid in any circumstance.

Just take care of yourself and you family.

I think it's no worse than the normal flu at all. People fail to realize the normal flu kills many people too. The only people dieing from Swine flu are the very young and the very old, aka weak immune systems.
