The new weekly domain sales report is out at DNJournal.com. A blockbuster sale at Moniker, the second highest sale reported so far this year, led the way in a week that also produced 2012's second biggest non .com gTLD sale to date. We also saw two of the year's 20 biggest country code sales. You can get all of the details here: http://www.dnjournal.com/archive/domainsales/2012/20120425.htm

I also saw on that list that HelloFlowers dotcom sold for $ 14,500.

I wonder how much flowers he would need to sell, to breakeven.

I don't believe it's as simple as that, considering the reporting entities. Moniker and Snapnames are or were tied together for domain "sales," and Ron Jackson's dnjournal.com has a history of publishing Snapnames sales and or auction results as though those results could/can be trusted as though enormous fraud perpetrated by Snapnames on dnjournal.com readers never occurred in the first place. Remember, Snapnames blamed massive auction fraud/shill-bidding on one lone employee. IMHO you'd have to have a screw loose to believe that excuse.

The relationships are incestuous, self-serving, and IMHO designed to paint a picture of an industry not full of the scumbags that in fact permeate the whole scene.
