Mobi ~ How to Price? Have an interested buyer.

Hello,

I have an interested buyer in my .mobi domain (in my signature) How do I know what to sell it for? Any idea's of where to start with pricing? Any help would be great!!! Might be the First .mobi sale

Have them make an offer, say you really like the domain and have plans but would sell to a good offer. The ball is in their court that way. In terms of valuation, it's a bit too early to really tell without precedent and maturity on the extension.

Make a somewhat high counter offer (not too high or you'll scare the buyer off), then establish some middle ground. Good luck!

I agree with rocketfly...Ask for an offer, and then just proceed from there. I don't think we are going to see any $xxxx sales unless in the near future, unless the domain is really premium keywords, so I guess it is up to you as to whether you think the $xxx offer you will probably receive now, will go up or down as the .mobi market establishes itself.

Thank you for the help. I told the buyer to send and offer and he sent back, "i have no idea of what kind of price range". So if I start at $800 ish that would be ok?

My guess is the person who is offering also knows about domains otherwise, it sounds a bit too soon for a buyer to offer to buy a name. Especially when most of the names are available and he can register an alternative if he wants to.

I believe if you say 800$ and if the person is not a domainer, that number would make him do more search for sure. I would.

That all said, I am not good at appraisals and hence can not offer you a number.
