The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I dont believe I said anything hateful?

Mike, I don’t think he meant literally hate is young generation talk for giving him a hard time and you did pretty much insult everyone including him with your first post rather than this turning into a personal thread can we move the conversation to a positive direction and explain how your portfolio is worth 2 Billion Plus perhaps we can learn a thing or 2 instead of watching a cat fight.

You all are very sensitive for domainers. If you want to compete, cuss some people out who are full of crap along the way.

Here are a few of the things I said before you came on here firing shots at me just because you didn't like my mask.....

The idea that Mike Mann would spend 10 years making a seven figure loss every year just for fun is a bit insulating I think, don't you? You are talking about a man who has previously sold an entire portfolio for $80m, he isn't some mug who is wasting daddy's money.

Nothing is ever black and white, but I think we can all be pretty certain that Mike Mann is too shrewd to have spent 10 years setting fire to his money, you aren't thinking outside of the box enough. He's probably a genius....

he has a lot of highly speculative long string domains but he also has a lot of genuine premium domains too.

Happy to accept that this is all crap then, and retract it all immediately.

You are a mug, you aren't shrewd, you probably aren't a genius, and you don't have a lot of genuine premium domains. Thanks for clearing this up for us.... I stand corrected.

@Mike Mann leaving aside all the controversies, we would truly love to learn your views and visions with respect to domains in terms of their Brandability, true value assessment, your purchase as well as your sales strategy.

Since you're right here, hence requesting your valuable time which would help all of us here.
Might as well you could throw some light on your recent sale -

CustomFigure.com ?

Thanks.

Sweet!
Edit: Gotta say, that was some useful stuff!

So why do you do this?

"you certainly havent even tried to appraise even 1% of my collection even if you were qualified"

"you all are just making up stupid guesses that you have no idea about"

"Godaddy bot and estibot (and your bothead) are counterproductive because they make up random numbers that only harms the marketplace."

"right now you just have domainers with no idea and dudes in office suits with less idea."

Is it just frustration, or just maintaining a "persona"? ;)

I don't understand AccurateAppraisals.com service. If you need to pay $88 to value your domain, and you're a domainer -- it's a huge oxymoron.

The only people who would be using an appraisal domain service are people who bought domains way back in the day, and held their domains but want to sell. Or maybe if they have websites they wanted to sell after years of using the site.

But if you're a domainer or want to get into domaining, lol, lesson 101 is learning how to appraise domains. . . No domainer should buy any kind of handreg or aftermarket 3L without already having an educated appraisal. A domainer using a domain appraisal service is like a fish taking water breathing lessons.

Any sales? How about CryptoWorld.com for $195,000? Purchased for $15. The reason I say what I say is because it's true, I would confuse myself and others if I made up stupid stuff, sometimes truth hurts people who can't compete.

I have no respect whatsoever for idiots who are anonymous and giving other people a hard time. One wonders what all they are hiding from. Are they pornographers? Tax cheats? Liars and scammers who can't compete. Actual competitors? People I fired or who ripped me off in the past? If you have something to say be proud of yourself.

Your skipped Namescon for a measly 200k sale? Shame on you. :)

Would love to know more about your sale. Was the buyer a repeat client? Was it an end user?

I just want to have a last name like Mann so everyone can call me the mann!! :xf.laugh:

Seriously though, I think Mike needs those sales, he has a massive portfolio, I would be curious to know what he spends annually on renewals.

All sounds great but profits are only profits after expenses...... and of course the tax man.

He has over 300,000 domains. Verisign make $7.85 per domain registration. ICANN $0.18. At the very least he is paying $8.03 per domain name. At the very least his renewals are $2,409,000. But this is only if he has cut a deal with a registrar like Enom, where I know he has some domains. If not then the renewal fees will be higher.

With staff to pay, let's assume a small team of 5 people, and tax to take into consideration, he has to be making at least $3,000,000 in sales per year for all this to be worthwhile. Surely?
