Hey all figured with the recent .io 6 figure sale and the nice .xyz sale by a follow NP member. We should open a showcase and discussion thread here.

Metaverse is a fast growing keyword, term and niche! Let's share and discuss our name and news.

I've only got One to start with but its a GOOD one my favorite ending keyword on most names.

MetaverseHub.com

Welcome! :)

SOLD

Domain:
Meta XR. com
Sale venue: Sedo
Listing type: Make Offer
BIN Price: $60,000
Purchased Price:
$8.47
Date Purchased: 02/14/2017
Sale Completed: 10/15/2021

Details: I hand registered this domain back in 2017 as I was building my XR portfolio with offers coming in in recent weeks. I turned down $2k and $5k offers via email. I received an initial offer of $40,000 via Sedo. I countered $75,000. I didn't hear anything back for 2 days so I enlisted the help of Sedo domain brokerage. They accepted my application. They took over negotiations whereby I had set the lowest I was willing to take was $55,000 and they got me $60,000 the very next day. So I am happy with the sell. I knew who the buyer was and could have gotten much more down the line but with my economics background time value of money is important lol especially in a hot and fast moving niche like meta and there were many new Meta+keyword .coms I wanted to acquire and have acquired.... no further details.

Short meta+ domains continue to outperform! Best of luck everyone!
Congrats on the sale

Aren't domains amazing? If you know what you're doing and not relying on pure luck, for the price of lunch or less, you can hand reg a domain that could net you mid $xx, xxx in a couple of years or even a few weeks.

This industry is truly beautiful. There's no other like it! Congrats again!

Some insights.

The niche is very trending and there are a lot of eyes on names.
People are scanning this niche non stop.

Imo
If you want to make a fast sale for a name go for BIN.
Buyers are always looking, investors for x,xxx mostly and end users for more.
If your name fits it will be sniped.
If you value your names more, and would like to make sure you get top $ I would advice to put make offer or custom lander and remember we are selling the goods, we are supposed to be on top, especially in a such a competitive field.
It's only the beginning and it's going to get more and more competitive so demand will be higher.

20 free credits = grab, bookmark and forget.......If something takes off you have a very very small slice of the pie, if not then who cares.......

I setup an account and used my credits figured no harm in taking a flyer.

yes don't underprice yourself, get top dollar!
it will only help the rest of us if we sell. :)

also some personal opinions:
1) don't get a long domain name
2) get keywords that are actually applicable to the metaverse, not random ones
3) my order of preference meta+keyword >> metaverse+keyword
4) buying a good domain aftermarket is better than registering numerous poor domain names
5) stick with the king ".com"

Congratulations to BostonDomainer on a great sale!

ThePetaverse///com

Why shouldn't dogs have their own Metaverse? I could see this as a game or an NFTproject.

It's not beautiful squatting domains and selling them for a premium.

Domaining is just another form of scalping. I do it because it's legal (so far) but not beautiful.

Hi. Can you shed light on the buyer details?

Why do you want to know his buyers details? Do not go spamming his buyer. This is a reason more don’t report.

Agreed, don't need to disclose the actual buyer, but maybe some higher level info like "buyer is a major business" or "buyer is a domainer looking to just resell" would help us all gauge the market.

Main reason why I hardly report sales

You don't need that.

Market is hot and will only get hotter for both end-users and investors.

End users coming from inside crypto (nfts etc) and outside of crypto.
