I'm working with a high-ranked site running on an old and very well-established domain (DA over 90, 1m+ incoming links from 15.000+ different domains, PR9) within its niche, and the owner of the domain is now planning to sell it to move on to other projects. Now, I'm not into the business of buying/selling domains, so I could use some advice on where to look to get the process of selling it started.

Sorry for the newbie question, if there is a thread or general advice page that I have missed, don't hesitate to point me in the right direction.

I think it would depend on the niche of the site, or type of site for that matter. From there you can get an idea of the type of buyer for the site.

If this site is a High Profile i hear that MediaOptions. com is your go to place... I personally have a few items at Afternic.com. Also if you check out the DNSalePrice.com they give you a list of sites sold with a similar background as yours, the price it sold for and who sold it. That should give you some good ideas for who you might want to contact. Good Selling!
