We're selling some good Malaysian names to cover renewals. Most of these acronyms are used by Malaysian companies with active sites who use the .com.my version. (None have been contacted) 2nd level .my names only been open just over 12 months. More and more Malaysians are starting to use second level over .com.my.
Foreigners can own a second level .my - cost is around $30/yr for registration and a proxy service for the whois costs up to $10/yr. If you have a Malaysian Identity or friends that you can use then you don't need the proxy service. Most of these registered at www.webnic.cc
Note: transfers to new registrants: the expiry dates are scrapped and 12mths is added from the date of transfer. You need at least 1 weeks time to allow for transfer. All of these were picked up in the second level .MY release last year and expire around the 29th.
If you're not familiar with Malaysia, it's a cool country, recognized as one of the best in Asia for foreign investment. Politically stable, educated people, English spoken everywhere, strategically positioned in the middle of South East Asia and a population bigger than Australia.
