Logo for Fishing Website $100

Hi all,
I have used the design contest section on this website a few times in the past and have had good results...let's keep this streak continuing.

A few details about the contest: I'm looking for a new logo for a fishing forum website that I manage. The website is based in "Massachusetts" and is called "MAanglers" (this is something that should be incorporated into the design of the logo). Our logo is "Catching Fish All Day From The Berkshires To Cape Cod Bay" which would be nice to be incorporated into logo as well.

I don't necessarily have a specific design in mind...this is why I'm having a contest so that the designers can play around and make something that is appealing. With that said, I do want the logo to be professional and clean looking. It should look good on website but also on t-shirts etc. that are made.

I will be using the following template for my main home page and the colors will be the same for the forum. http://www.html5webtemplates.co.uk/templates/colour_blue/index.html Colors should match/compliment those found on that template.

I don't have a specific size in mind yet, I think this will be determined once entries start coming in and seeing how things look/fit together.

The contest will run till (Extended to Sat. July 13th), at 3p.m. Eastern Time.

The winner that is chosen will receive $100 payable by paypal only.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for taking the time to submit your entries. Honestly, nothing has really caught my eye so far. It just seems like people are crowding too much into the design.

I'm open to people just using the text and creating something unique with it (different font styles, etc.)

FYI, if you do use a picture of a fish in the logo make sure it is a striped bass and/or largemouth bass. Thanks

Mods,
Can I please extend the auction time until Saturday? I just haven't seen a logo that catches my eye.

After looking at all the entries, I don't think we need to have the "Catching Fish All Day..." in the logo.

To get you guys away from the same look, here are some ideas for logos from a Google search of fishing charter logos.

Those are just two ideas, you guys can search around and see different options.

One thing that has been suggested to me if somehow the Massachusetts outline could be shaped like a fish and Cape Cod could be where the hook is.

I have not heard back from any of the mods saying that this wasn't allowed, so I'm assuming that the contest will now end on Saturday. In my opinion I had to extend the contest because of the lack of entries.

Note to all, gooddesigners entry is a good start. His has that more unique look to it. I know there can be more entries that take a different approach away from what has been entered so far.
