Haha, this reminds me of TheHungryBull (by Graham Stephan, one of the top finance YouTubers).
HungryBull.com was available for only $399 and 2-3 weeks after he launched the app the price went up to $2,399.

Not everyone needs a premium domain. I understand that from our perspective it can seem like make or break, but for others it's just a means to an end. They'll tell their perspective users what their domain is and if they want their app it'll work.
