How did traffic go from never averaging more than 42 visits a day for 3 months, to 1262 uniques in less than 6 days? December 19 visits : 25, then by December 25 it's up to 1262?

I belive the site used to be a old arcade site.

I purchased the domain, installed my new arcade on it.

Then to gain traffic i placed links on sites and used myspace for marketing
