Let's assume these platforms are for sale
How much would you offer them?

    NamePros
    BrandBucket
    BrandPa
    BrandRoot

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

you do mean the whole platoform not just name right?

well its a hard question that'll get you only 473847387483 different opinions

however I do recall reading epik.com was going to buy undeveloped.com market for round 4 million euro.. couple years back or so..
which failed in the end.. but I don't think because of the price.
so this can give a bit of insight into your question.. vague.. but still..

    cheers

It's an impossible question to answer without seeing the financials.

Exactly. Also what is included besides the name and code? Are domain assets part of the deal? What about operating costs? Training, support, etc. Too many variables and each case is unique.

Exactly and Namepros is a forum not a brandable marketplace, so no sense putting them in the same category.

BrandBucket is the biggest of the three and without financials how would anyone make an educated offer?

BrandRoot would get the least money.

Don't apologize. Don't regret asking the question. It is not a stupid question. I hope my response did not make you think this. The worse thing you can do is let this stop you from asking more questions. When we stop asking questions is when we stop learning. ;)

well its actually very intereating to know what certain prices are for some companies..
like the example I gave above for epik ..

its just that these things are not really possible to predict prior to sale..

but a thread along lines of.. "which domaining related company sold for how mcuh and what you think about the sale price"... would be interesting to follow. imo.

I would love to own a market place like Undeveloped.com , not so much BB or BP

NamePros, I don’t have the knowledge to hold it down, but if I did, i would absolutely love to own it, not to mention I couldn’t afford it as well Lol

I would guesstimate it would take an offer in the 300+K’s range to purchase NamePros, just a guesstimate of course.

    just a simple valuation approach:
4-10 EBITDA depending on sales growth stats, volatility of earnings and some other factors (growth revenue potential)

it is very possible to assume that BB has the largest revenue base among the peer group but it might have lower growth metrics (mature company, market leader), while, e.g. BP is still growing.

    Namepros is untapped.
500k for what it is. 5m for what they would take.
    They wouldnt take 2m.
