Original Post:

XYZ is an extension that is quite fascinating to me. I've likened it to Dogecoin in the past and talked about how much I think it's inflated in value due to the speculative aspect of it.

That said, I have started to grow fond of the extension, and do see it's value as a digital asset regardless (even Dogecoin has practical applicability). So let's see your best XYZ domain and I will tell you what I think about it.

At the end, I'm going to have a Top 10 of my favorite submitted domains.

2 words are not great, plurals are generally not good. Food and Cooking aren't the best niches for XYZ.

But hey, you never know. I would drop personally.

Ok, but don't you think that if the guy who sold Blockchain//Valley (.) io had applied your logic he would have never regged let alone sold that domain for 4k?

I really thought that domaining was about selling what sells.

of course things like this will happen.. that blabla.com sells 100k..and then io sells for 20k.. or xyz for 10k.. the point I was making is that the odds of this happening are 1 in million.

1 in a million sounds like a lot. Would you mind sharing the sources you get your stats from?

I personally think each domain has to be evaluated separately.

In this case, there are 2 proven sales of a generic word combination and I just regged the same words but in the most trendy extension, that also happens to be one of the strongest ones related to the words themselves (Blockchain in this case).

Would you agree that, in this case, the odds are a “little“ more than 1 in a million? Wouldn't you have regged it yourself if you had found it available? I really think it was worth the 1$ reg.

either way... if I were u I'd not rely too heavily on selling same name as sold com in different tld... and on top xyz is by far not 2nd preferred choice after com... unlike what many dreamers will claim
... but maybe I'm wrong... and domaining really is as simple as regging every equivalent of sold com in xyz for a buck... and make ton easy money like dat. cheerios

Only 3 sales total in XYZ with Blockchain keyword:

BlockchainLabs.xyz
iBlockchain.xyz
BlockchainGaming.xyz

Out of almost 1200 xyz domains with Blockchain keyword.

BlockchainValley is a good brand, but for Non-Com it may be a long hold.

If you had Oligo.xyz would be a 5 or 6, the plural lowers value some.

Incentify and Unbanking are good crypto/defi brands, but will have to wait for right buyer. Unbanked is a registered trademark, so could run into problems.

It's a single word, but plural loses some value and has limited use.

Both 4L domains have good letters. Only 250~ public sales for 4L XYZ and many are single words. If someone can find out how many total 4L xyz are registered, you can figure out the likelyhood of them selling.

Thank you! These were exactly my thoughts. I just started acquiring domains so I'm kind of playing with names a little bit since it's not that expensive with .xyz. I am aware that these don't have a big value at the moment, but at least they are not 0/10

Good numbers, no sales in any extension for 511, but 36 public sales for NNN.xyz many 4-figures but none in the last 5 years.

CloudTeam.xyz | 4 out of 10

It's a good brand, but there's a trademark so loses some points. Also 2 words XYZ domains are long holds, and rare to sell. For instance, only 2 XYZ public sales for Cloud keyword and it was Cloud.xyz and Clouds.xyz. That means zero 2 word cloud keyword domain sales for xyz out of nearly 7000 cloud domains registered.

Heet.xyz | 5 out of 10

I actually like this one, it has a ton of trademarks but all are for automotive, additives, etc. Nothing for marketing, branding, internet, tech, communications. It's a cool brand.

If you had say, BuyEV.com and EVShop.com those would be like 5 or 6 out of 10.

Even still, there are zero sales for EV keyword in xyz. So it's a longshot.
