Legality of Marijuana Domains? With no site attached?

So I registered some domains this morning in case California passes prop19. Didn't occur to me that it might not be legal? Having my thread about marijuana domains get deleted off the front page of namepros made me wonder.

Surely just owning the domain, with NO site is ok?

Registered stuff like californiaheadshop, californiacannabisonline, violetkush (strain of marijuana) etc...

Would really appreciate any advice. Thinking about calling Godaddy to delete.

I would venture to guess your thread was pulled because you listed your domains. I don't know if you saw my reply, but I pointed out that big tobacco and gas stations would be running the show. So IMO there is limited domainer potential.

I wouldn't worry about merely owning a domain.

Appreciate the reply, and you're probably right.

Meh, didn't even consider that listing the names would be a no-no. In the area I live everyone is talking about it and it's basically no big deal. There's a dispensary right across the street from a Best Buy here (super nice area). Grab some Thai food, a movie, and stop by the dispensary lol.

Thanks again.

Surely, patients registering marijuana domain names and developing medical marijuana related sites have nothing to worry about...right?
