I heard people talk .im means instant message, which is good...but why not manupilate into intelligent manufacturing,? which may represent more powerful industry trend...

From what i've seen from my search on google, .im is the ccTLD for Isle of Man

sure, we all understood im is actually refer to MAN...

but it is also a typic way people use those ccTLD in other meaningful way.

some famous example like,
.fm use for audio sites
.io use for any tech/cool things
.ai use for AI
.im use for I am
now, I am suggesting use .im for intelligent manufacuring, industry 4.0
