The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Remove top 2 domains from each year:

porno.com $8.89MM and we.com 8MM in 2015 for total of $16.9 and the rest 98 sold for $21.8MM

And hg.com $3.8MM and vivo.com for 2.1$MM for total of 5.9MM and the rest sold for $18.5MM.

That would be decline of around 10%.

This means nothing, some of the best sales do not get reported. Is 360.com on that list?

- most private sales are not reported
- depending on sales amount brackets, you can get the numbers you're looking for
- even if there's other sales besides .com, doesn't mean .com is in decline.

Percentage wise, as everyone used to mainly only value .com, .com represented closer to 100% of sales. It's normal new extensions have their market, but the core is still .com.

It would also be interesting to see how many companies are ending up upgrading to .com after owning the "lesser" extension.

So far 2017 has been better than 2016 for myself like others stated (dealing with brandable .com's only)
