I will take the laptops.mobi strategy on both of these names. First bid of $1,000 on either and I start the 7-day auction.
I don't mind playing the role of market maker. I believe in MOBI. There are so few decent names on SEDO right now at auction. I think this will blow the top off of SEDO for the week. The downside of the market maker role is that it's a bit daunting... you can end up with valuations far below the long-term smoothed average.
My premise is that these are both 5 figure names. I'm willing to take the risk and test the premise.
300.mobi
In my opinion, 300.mobi is a far better generic name than 600.mobi which just closed at $3,250.
HEAVY USE
There are almost 1 BILLION matches for 300 on Google. Compare to 267 MILLION for flowers.mobi that just sold at $200,000.
MORE HEAVILY BRANDED
The use of the 300 term is so heavily branded whether it be cell phones or major award winning automobiles like the Chrysler 300, area codes in major metropolitan area (Chicago), Frank Miller comic books, bus routes and a bazillion other things. Also, there is a blockbuster movie called 300 coming out in March, 2007.
I'm keeping 900.mobi. I believe 900.mobi is a massive name due to the association with 900 numbers.
First bid of $1,000 on 300.mobi starts the auction.
CollegeLoans.mobi
This is a massive name.
SEARCH REVENUE
The search revenue on "College Loans" throws me off-balance. A single click through at Overture.com as of 12/16/2006 is netting $6.81... A CLICK!
LIKE SALES
Autoloan.mobi closed at $8,200 on a SEDO auction.
First bid of $1,000 on collegeloans.mobi starts the auction.
Assuming MOBI takes off, I'll regret losing these 2 names.... whatever will be, will be!

Sincerely,
Jeremy Padawer
UPDATE:
The 300.mobi auction has started. 3 offers at $1000. I accepted the 1st.
The CollegeLoans.mobi auction has not started. Send me a good offer on this one to start. I'd like to start at $1000, but I'm not so concerend at the opening bid. It's the closing bid that is important.
