advice Japanese company want my domain

I own the current domain Iz1.co

This company is known as Onamae Hosting Inc who are based in Japan, Tokyo

I was asked by their vice president if the domain was for sale but they have not labelled a price

I'm quite an amateur when it comes to domain names but I believe a 3 character domain is quite valuable?

What would be a reasonable asking price?
Also how should I handle this transaction and how would I get paid

As others said, this is likely a scam. Just to comment on one of your statements (question?) - 3 character domains are valuable but in .COM primarily. Almost all other extensions they are worth reg fee unless they are special like 3DX (X being another letter) etc. your domain being a .co is not worth much I'm afraid.

Also, to contradict the above, previous sales for a similar type of domain (As per Namebio - https://namebio.com/?s==ITN5kDO1QTM ) does reveal a few $xxxx sales (mp3.co going thrice there) but those have not been in the recent past and few and far between
