His story,

He was visiting Oregon last week when their car (carrying him, his wife, and their 2 children) slid off the road due to icy road conditions. They are saying the roads should have been gated off for the winter but "vandals" took it down. After being in their car for about 1 week James decides to set out on foot to find help. They found the family a few days later but had to still search for James. He was found dead 1 mile away from their car (he traveled about 8 miles due to the ground conditions) about 1/2 mile away from a lodge/bar, but the cause of death is still unknown. The autopsy is due tonight or tomorrow morning.
It's a very sad story; many people around town are setting candles near the bus stops and other places.
