Hi,
I've just written a set of very good and well researched articles. The site isn't that popular - so i was wondering the best ways to promote them.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Some ideas: Press release, ask if people owning popular websites in your niche would be willing to write a post about it or even offer to pay them to do so, submit it to Digg, StumbleUpon, etc

"The site isn't that popular"

You mean your site is not very popular?

I suggest that you first submit these articles in your own site: then after they get indexed, you can then submit these articles to top article directories to get some backlinks.

yes, post them on your site.

then become a publisher at:

ezinearticles.com
or isnare.com

there are others.

they create great backlinks, especially on popular subjects.

You can submit it to Ezinearticles
or if you have your own website post it in there.
then start promoting it through link building.
So you'll get quality backlinks.

set up a Twitter profile, follow a bunch of people in your targeted article niche and tweet the crap out of it.

I agree with submitting to Ezinearticles and similar sites...make sure you do not submit to thousands of low profile article directories..just a few good quality ones will do....Also if the article is really great and unique submit it to Google Knol.

I'd keep the article exclusively on your site and just work on promoting it through blog/forum posts, writing some other relevant articles and submitting them to article directories, etc.

Post your article on top most article directory with your website text link...........

I'd go with ezine, and then once the articles are published, Digg and Tweet them. Remember to include backlinks in the resource box.

I agree with the posts mentioned above. Article directories usually do a great job of promoting a website. You can also publish a blog and then invite people to view it via social bookmarking and social networking sites.

Try building a squidoo lenses. It's a revenue sharing site, and if your lens is ranked high or chosen as the lens of the day, you'll get very good traffic.
